Ton-up Kashif leads Rawalakot Hawks to KPL Final

The side defeated Mirpur Royals in the second Eliminator




Young Kashif Ali scored a splendid ton to lead Rawalakot Falcons to triumph against Mirpur Royals in the second Eliminator of the Kashmir Head Group (KPL) Monday. 

Pursuing a mammoth objective of 237, Kashif scored unbeaten 114 off 52 balls to guarantee the Falcons place in the last of the debut release of the competition. 

They were not looking so good losing three early wickets. Opener Umar Amin abandoned alarming the scorers, while opener Bismillah Khan (15 off 10) and batsman Mohammad Imran (13 off 11) couldn't get rolling. 

Batsman Hussain Talat played a splendid thump, scoring 51 runs off 21 balls prior to tumbling to bowler Salman Irshad. 

Captain Shahid Afridi (19 off 13) was eliminated by pacer Sameen Gul next as the game headed into the last stage. 

Kashif Ali didn't allow the chance to go to waste to drive his side over the line with four wickets and two balls to save. 

Prior, Mirpur Royals were looking extraordinary so far batting first. Opener Sharjeel Khan pursued the bowlers in an unstable style. 

Different batsmen from the Royals' side could just help a splendid thump by Sharjeel as the opener ruled the whole innings with his flawless force hitting. 

Batsmen Mukhtar Ahmed (21 off 17), Shoaib Malik (15 off 12), and Mohammad Akhlaq (29 off 21) offered help for the opener, who scored 141 runs off only 63 balls. 

Pacer Zaman Khan took two wickets while captain Shahid Afridi took one wicket for the Rawalakot Birds of prey.
